Hi Halie: Just a short update on Adonis. He is doing very well. Roisin was/is a little jealous at times, usually involving me or one of her toys. I think they will work it out though. He takes it all very well. He really is a sweet boy although a little needy right now as can be expected.
I have noticed recently that he really doesn't seem to enjoy going for walks. One time around and he heads right for our driveway (he knows where his home is!!). We make him keep going!! Also, when we are outside going potty (on a leash for now), after he is done, he wants to immediately go back inside. I guess he now considers himself and inside dog.
Also, he has a nice bed in our bedroom and he uses it and seems to sleep well at night, but we have to put a gate at the door or he will not stay in the bedroom. In the morning, after the gate is down, he won't come back into the bedroom, even if we call to him and entice him with his "duck skin". Do you have any insight into this occurrence? Its a fairly large room with a ceiling fan running (do you think that could be it??). Should we just let him go where he wants at night? We personally like having our "pack" altogether.
Otherwise, we just love having him around. Dale gets on the floor at night with the dogs. He throw things for Roisin to retrieve and Adonis just snuggles up to him and wants to be petted. Very sweet.
He will be going to the vet on Saturday (just for a visit to say hello) while Roisin gets her annual shots.
Hope your "pack" is doing well. Thanks for the pictures on the website. We sent them to all our friends and family annoucing our new family member!
